ReadyMade 100 Contest

Calling all Do-It-Yourselfers! Think you have one of the best projects in the U.S.? Time to put your money where your mouth is. ReadyMade magazine is launching it’s inaugural “ReadyMade 100” contest, honoring the top 100 DIY projects. Top projects will be decided by online voting and a panel of judges.

The top prize consists of $500, a trip to New York for a party in the winner’s honor, a cover story in the magazine, and various “ambassador type” duties throughout the year, including project updates and contributing to the web site. The top 50 projects will receive consolation prizes, including a cover story, T shirts, badges, and bragging rights.

Entries must by in by December 15, and are uploaded through ReadyMade’s Project Uploader Tool. Entries should be your “most functional, beautiful, interesting, sustainable manifestation of creativity in any of the following arenas: Home & Garden, Food & Entertaining, Design, Craft, Fashion & Style, Culture, Travel & Places, Technology & Work.”

The judging panel will be made up of eight design professionals, including Instructables founder and CEO Eric Wilhelm, Jonathan Adler, Grace Bonney of home and product blog Design*Sponge, and DIY Network’s Amy Devers. The winner will be named “Main Maker” and receive the fabulous prize package described above.
