Alternative sources of power are something that many companies are exploring more thoroughly nowadays, and General Electric is no exception. Although they already produce wind turbines, the technology development arm of GE, GE Global Research, has begun a project from the U.S. Department of Energy to develop the next generation of wind turbines, ones that could support large-scale wind applications in the 10-15 megawatt range.
