Affordability is a key issue, even more so in the not so rich countries.

Some awareness is there, some willingness to build green, but when the costs are too much more then even the more openminded of the locals pull back and use the same bad materials as before.

Most look here at the building costs only, lower maintenance costs are not taken into consideration (yet).
