You can get your charcoal burning fast without lighter fluid by doing the following.

1. Use an empty cardboard egg container, fill the container with a mixture of melted wax and DRYER lint.
2. Let the mixture harden up.
3. Cut the 12 egg slots into individuals.
4. Light the fire starters and use 2 or 3 in the middle of your charcoal.
5. These things burn hot, and last long enough to get the charcoal started.

Another tip is you can cook burgers on your charcoal grill without charcoal. For 2-3 burgers at a time, crumple up 10-15 newspaper sheets and put in your grill, light the top of the pile and put your burgers right on top of your grill. You will have burgers in about 5 minutes that are flame broiled and taste great without the use of charcoal.
