I really like vacuum solar tubes, I have them now for three years and I'm sure that in next two, maybe three years they will be paid from what I've already saved on electricity bill and after that I will really have lot of absolutely free heat. Summer here is not so bad so I don't cover them during summer. http://vacuumsolartubes.com/

I live in upstate NY and installed 30 evacuated tubes which have been working great even into November. However, I'm told I'll need to cover them gradually as the summer progesses so I don't fill my water storage tank with super heated water. Is this true? If so, are you aware of a product, like a roof-top rolling panel or awning, designed for this purpose?
I can't be the only one needing something, so why can't i find anything? My solar installer has been no help. I thought about an aluminum roll-up style garage door. Thanks!!
